STEMTalentGirl is a mentoring project for the development of STEM talent (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and encouragement of scientific and technological vocations, aimed specifically at women, with the objective of inspiring and empowering the next generation of leading women in science and technology.
There are three different programs for the academic year 2016/2017:
(1) “Science for Her”
Free programme for the development of talent and encouragement of STEM vocations in girls in their 3rd and 4th years of secondary school via master classes and shadowing sessions with mentors.
(2) “Mentor Women”
This three-level mentoring programme is aimed at girls studying their Bachillerato (Mentor B), studying at university (Mentor U) and young graduates with talent (Mentor E).
Students are mentored by STEM women who accompany and guide their professional development. They also develop projects of mutual interest depending on the educational stage of the student.
(3) “Real Work”
This program of grants and business internships with a technological bases is for entrepreneurial women with talent and recent university graduates
I am participating in the “Science for her” program as a mentor and carrying on shadowing sessions.
